Admin > Students > Bulk Photo Uploader
The Bulk Photo Uploader allows you to upload photographs for multiple students simultaneously. Images imported into ScholarPack will appear on the student's individual profile page and will also be available in the 'Photos' report.
For successful import into ScholarPack, photographs must be labelled with the student's unique Scholar ID or their UPN. They must also be in .jpg or .png format. School photographers should be able to provide your photographs in the required format - please liaise with them to let them know your needs in advance of your photography session.
Above is an example of how to name your file.
You are able to provide external photographers with a list of your pupils along with their UPN by going to Reporting>Reports>Custom Reports and choosing to include the UPN option.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and choose to run this report by year and then surname. Click Choose. The report can be given to the photographer to ensure that the children are called up in a specified order and to make certain that the photographer can match the correct pupil with the correct UPNs.
You must first choose the file that you need to upload. These may be provided via an external data device by an external photographer, for example on a USB or CD.
You may have individual images that you have yourself added into a folder manually or a member of staff may have taken the children's photographs. Providing these are correctly labelled with the individual's UPN or Student ID number you are able to bulk upload these.
Choose 'Select Files' and then choose your stored data file. Select all photo files and then click 'Open'.
They appear under the 'Select Files' tab as they are being processed and once they are imported a list of filenames with 'completed' will be displayed.
Click 'Upload Photos'.
If you click onto a pupil's profile page you should now see the photograph displayed.
This can be removed by clicking on the red cross.
A report of student photographs can be generated by Year and Form in Reporting>Reports>Photos.
Scholarpack automatically scales them to be at a resolution of 180x180 and a file size of 13Mb. Sometimes the scaling can pixelate the photos if the resolution is too high or the photo is too rectangular, so ask the photographer to try reducing the resolution or cropping them into a square shape if this happens.
