Why can I no longer enter P-Scales for statutory assessments?

The Engagement Model has replaced P scales 1 to 4, for students working below the standard of national curriculum assessments and not engaged in subject-specific study. Teachers must use the Engagement Model to assess pupils working below the standard of the national curriculum assessments and not engaged in subject-specific study at key stage 1 and key stage 2.  For the DfE guidance on this model click here

To enter marks for students not engaged in subject specific study, go to Admin > Students > Statutory Assessment

Select either 'End of Key Stage 1' or 'End of Key Stage 2', then highlight the assessment component(s) you want to record marks for, the result date, year of the result, a (plus you can select which year and class). Then click Choose :

From the dropdown you will find EM towards the bottom of the marks available, which will indicate the student is working working below the standard of national curriculum assessments and not engaged in subject-specific study. Once you have finished entering marks, you will need to Save at the base of the table.
