This guide will provide you with steps and advice on setting up and using your ScholarPack Parents App. The Parents App will only function on a mobile phone, as it requires a link with your mobile telephone number. The App therefore cannot be installed for use on any other device, such as a tablet.
Schools can set what you can and can't see on the ScholarPack Parents App, therefore, if any information you see within this guide is missing on your App this is likely due to the School restricting this and not an error.
1. Set Up
You should receive an email from the school advising you to go to the app store on your mobile phone and download 'ScholarPack Parents' and also providing you with your unique linkup code.
Once you have the app installed, select the app on your phone to open it, you will first be presented with the welcome screen where you should select 'Lets Get Started'. Once you have selected this, you will be presented with a screen where you can enter the Linkup code you have received from the school along with your mobile phone number (please ensure this is the same one you have provided to the school as a mobile contact number for yourself).
Once you have entered this information, please select 'Continue' and you will be sent an SMS to confirm your identity which contains an authentication code to enter within the app. Once you have entered this, please select 'Submit Code'.
You should then be presented with a page confirming this has been successful, please select 'Access your Dashboard'. You will now be taken to the main page of the app and the 'Children' section will be selected, here you are able to see the pupil profiles you have access to. At the bottom of this page you will also see the sections 'Messages' and 'Settings'.
Note: You will also see an option to 'Add a New School', this is if you have children in multiple schools who also use the ScholarPack Parents App and need to also add them.
2. Pupil Profiles
Once you have selected the pupil profile you wish to view from the 'Your Children' section, you will see the pupil's photo (if the school has provided one), what school year the pupil is in and also what form class they are in. You should also see the school's address and you may also see a 'Report Absence' button if the school have activated this feature.
Below this you will also see an overview of the pupil's attendance for the academic year so far and a menu for various sections of the app.
- School Details - This is where you can view the school's contact information as well as any useful web addresses/URLs they have added.
- Attendance - This will show you a colour coded calendar view of the pupil's attendance. As the register is taken in the morning and afternoon each day it split into 2 sessions, you will see these coloured as green for present, orange for absent or yellow for late. You will also have another option to report an absence here if the school has activated this feature.
- Contacts - Here you are able to see a list of all contacts listed for this pupil, depending on the settings set by the school you will either see these as name only or along with their contact details.
- Permissions - Here you are able to see what permissions are set for the pupil.
- Dietary Info - Here you are able to see what dietary requirements the pupil has.
- Medical - Here you can see what medical details are listed for this pupil.
- Doctors - Here you are able to see what Doctors details are listed for this pupil.

3. Messages
The 'Messages' section can be accessed from the home page of the app and selecting 'Messages' located at the bottom of the page in the centre.
Here you will find the message inbox for any messages that have been sent to you from the school. Select a message from the inbox in order to read it, the school may also allow you to reply to these messages if they have activated this option.
Top Tip: You'll only be able to view the most recent 250 messages.
4. Settings
The 'Settings' section can be accessed from the home page of the app and selecting 'Settings' located at the bottom of the page on the right.
Within this 'Settings' page, on the bottom right, you will be able to see what version of the ScholarPack Parents App you currently have downloaded on your phone (e.g. v1.4.10).
You can also options to change the settings for 'Push Notifications' and 'Security'.
Push Notifications - Here you can enable or disable if you are notified when you receive a new message from the school. Note: You will also need to ensure you have not disabled this in your phone settings if you wish to receive notifications.
Security - Here you can select what kind of additional security you'd like to have when accessing the app; a 4 digit PIN or FaceID/TouchID.
5. Troubleshooting
Downloading/Opening the App: Please first try all standard troubleshooting checks for your mobile phone when having an issue like this, e.g. redownloading the app, checking your network connection, checking with the network/phone provider, etc. These steps must be completed before reporting a fault with the app to the school.
Setup: If you are having issues with your Linkup code working or mobile phone number being accepted please contact the school to check this.
Change of mobile phone device or phone number: If you change your mobile phone and did not transfer your ScholarPack Parents App data, you will need to request a new Linkup code from the school. You will also need to contact the school to update your details and request a new Linkup code if you change your phone number.
Not receiving notifications: If you are not receiving push notifications for messages on the app there are two ways of tackling this; Go to the 'Settings' section from the app home screen and select the push notifications you would like. Alternatively, within the phone's notification settings there should be the option to receive or block push notifications from certain apps.
