Go to Students Profile > Support > SEN.
You can access a student's SEN profile by visiting their profile and clicking on the support tab, you will see a section for special educational needs (SEN).
Click on the cog next to SEN to view or add SEN details.
(If no cog wheel appears you will need a member of the admin team to add SEN user role to your account)
Click Add New to enter the SEN information.
When recording SEN details, you need to enter both an SEN Provision AND an SEN Need (also known as SEN Type).
Students can have just a Primary Need or they can have both a Primary and Secondary Need.
Clicking Edit will allow you to add or amend data relating to that specific provision.
You can add an SEN Needs at the bottom of this screen by clicking Add New SEN Need.
You must enter an end date to a SEN provision for this to appear in the SEN history table on the right side of Support tab page.
The Department for Education (DfE) requires that only one SEN Provision is open at any one time, and for there to be at least a Primary SEN Need associated with this provision. All SEN Provisions and SEN Need Types are determined by the DfE.
